"None of us becomes a leader entirely on our own. We are shaped by the people we work with. We learn from great leaders, and sometimes we learn just as much from leaders we hope never to emulate."

— Dr. Neal Weaver

The Journey

A Path That Didn't Start in a Classroom

Each stage of my life and leadership journey has shaped who I am today, building the experience, perspective, and expertise I bring to helping leaders strengthen culture, build trust, and create organizations where people can do their best work.
Early Leadership

Early Leadership

Before entering education, Neal spent twelve years in the restaurant industry, where he received some of his earliest lessons in leadership. Beginning in management shortly after college, he quickly advanced to managing his own restaurant and later took on responsibilities in training and leadership development.

Those years taught him lessons about people, service, organizational culture, accountability, and developing others that would continue to shape his leadership philosophy decades later.

Chapter Two

Family at the Core

For more than three decades, Neal and his wife, Martha, have built a life together grounded in family, partnership, and shared purpose. Through every stage of his leadership journey, family has remained a source of perspective and a reminder that relationships, trust, commitment, and being present for others matter far beyond any professional title. Neal and Martha are the proud parents to two children, Maddison and Nicholaus, and recently welcomed their first grandchild.
Chapter Three

A Career Change That Became a Life's Work

Neal entered the K-12 education environment in 2003, beginning his career as a classroom teacher. What started as a career change quickly became a calling, leading to opportunities in building-level administration, district leadership, service as a Deputy Superintendent, and ultimately Superintendent of Schools.

Each step of that journey expanded his understanding of leadership and the impact strong schools can have on students, families, and communities. Leading in school systems with different strengths and challenges reinforced his belief that effective leadership begins with listening, grows through relationships and trust, and requires the courage to make difficult decisions when they are necessary.

Today

What Drives the Work Now

Neal’s leadership journey has shaped a belief that guides his work today. The most successful leaders do not build organizations that depend on them. They build the capacity, confidence, and leadership of the people around them.

He believes one of a leader’s greatest responsibilities is recognizing potential in others, creating the conditions for people to grow and succeed, and ultimately leaving an organization stronger than he found it.
